Time

Time was a curious object. While it already exists before man exists, man are the one who perceive them as being what it is and in effect brought time into existence.

We view time as the passing of moments. I have often being puzzled by the fact that every single moment in my life is considered “now” in one moment and exist only as part of my memory in the next. I distinctly remember myself typing that previous fullstop, and now I’m going to type another one. Opps. And another. Time files.

While everyone has time, everyone experiences time differently. It is a well known fact that mental and physical activity that one is undergoing affects the perception of passing of time.

As for me, time begins on Saturday when I book out, and stood frozen when I stepped into Tekong Ferry Terminal on Sunday. And I have to put up with this pathetic perception of time for 1 year and 10 months more.

I long for the time to come when time no longer has any gaps in between.

Weikiat is busy.

Weikiat has been very busy these 2 days since his book-in after his super short weekend. He has lotsa trainings and gunning, and he has little time to even sms me. It was his IMT (I think) trial today, and training yesterday. He said he was quite lousy yesterday as his left hand is not strong enough to hold the rifle(I think) properly. But he thinks he passed his trial this morning ba…

Then I think there was some SOC this afternoon, despite heat wave and thunder (or whatever they call it) warnings.

Poor weikiat again. There wasn’t enough admin time for him yesterday. He nearly had no time to bathe. But luckily I forced him to go. Haha… And his business is not done yet. There was no time for him to do his business (earn money.. LOL).

Jia You ba, my dear. You can do it! :)

There’s nothing much for me to post.

He is having his 3-day Situational Test this week. Hence, no smses from him again. Please ask him to blog more when he is free. I know we miss his blog posts. :) Me too.

Wei Kiat got accepted!!!

Weikiat got a letter from SMU last thursday. He was accepted by SMU School of Information Systems for the Information System Management course. That’s very very good news. Good news arrive for him 2 days before his field camp.

He was so happy after he called his mum that night, and she told him about the letter. Wah! I think the school saw his newspaper article and accepted him immediately. Haha… Never mind if you did badly for the interview. Just appear on newspaper. Haha…

All his bunkmates demanded a treat after weikiat told them this news. I guess he will be too happy to sleep that night ba… I also want a treat! :)

Today is his 2nd day at field camp, and I am not sure how he is now. No smses, no phone-talk for so many days. Quite a sad thing :( But this is the worst part of BMT so I guess his days on Tekong will be better after this 6 grueling days. I hope. And hope. And hope more.

Just bring Weikiat back safely in one piece, with no major injury and illness. And I shall be seeing him on Friday (that is, if they let him book out on Friday).

Wei Kiat Wei Kiat

Ok, the title is ridiculous. But I couldn’t think of the title for this post, hence I feel that putting weikiat’s name as the title would be a bit apt. Haha…

Weikiat had out field training this morning, and he just returned for lunch. After his lunch, he will be going back to the fields. Where his back will turn brown (mud-colour) and his face, green (camouflage cream, i think).

He finds that scary, but what is scarier awaits him: 6-days field camp. So poor thing…

But thankfully, his field camp starts on Saturday, hence he only need stay in for 2 weeks. If his field camp was earlier, like Tuesday, he will need to stay in for 3 weeks. How to survive…

Take care, my boy :) I shall wait for your return :) And enjoy the 4 days’ holiday you are entitled to after that disgusting field camp.

Another book in

Once again, another book in. This time I will be in for 12 days, a rather long duration. This is because of the upcoming Field Camp, dubbed by most as the main highlight of the BMT experience. For Field Camp we will all be inside the forest as one with nature for 6 days. Eek.

I notice that I had been neglecting my blog lately, but during book outs I engulf myself with happiness and fun, and am too lazy to blog. I’ll write more when I am in camp on my little notebook that I bring around me, and transfer the content here during my next book out, on the 28th.

Good bye Information Technology, My Girlfriend and very supportive Family. Through NS I have learnt how those around me shower me with love, and how I should never ever take their care and concern for granted. I wanted very badly to say “I love you” and “Thank you” to my parents, but I still feel too shy and embarrassed to say such a thing.

Sorry for throwing my temper when we didn’t get to eat steamboat yesterday. Me and my girlfriend originally planned to go to Marina Bay for steamboat for yesterday’s dinner. When my parents know about it they wanted to go for steamboat with me as well, but my dad was reluctant so we went to turf city and discovered that the steamboat there had already closed. Then we went to Sunset Way where we had steamboat previously, and discovered that it was closed as well. So I became angry and accused my parents of ruining my steamboat dinner. My dad even offered to bring us to sakura in place of it. But I say rejected firmly because it is very expensive, and I had already went there twice last month, We went to a coffee shop and had Chinese cuisine instead. I can feel that my parents are trying to please me by ordering many nice dishes. Afterwards, I felt very guilty. Stupid me for throwing my temper when my parents are so nice to me. They even help me wash my NS clothes and fold them neatly every book out. What had they done to deserve an angry son? I am now very determined to treat my parents nicer, listen to them, and don’t make them angry or become angry with them.

I am such a stupid son, and a stupid boyfriend. I must learn to treat those who love me with equal care and concern. Care and concern exhibited by loved ones is unparalleled and can never be found on Tekong.

I can’t wait for the next book out to be showered by care and concern from my loved one again, and I’ve promised myself to treat better next book out.

1.5 hours to book in. See you on 28th April.

NS 4th Week

I haven’t been updating a lot for wk last week due to:
1) I was working, and was too tired to update at night
2) It was a short week, and hence one post for the 4 days seems fine

Wk says that he has gotten used to sleeping there, but he still cannot get used to losing his freedom, and having to obey those higher-ranked-people in Tekong. Well, who would want to listen to people who spews vulgarities every minute? I won’t.

Wk had his route march yesterday and this morning, and there were abrasions between his legs due to the sweat and blah blah blah, and his neck had some rashes due to carrying the rifle strap around his neck. Yucks! Don’t know how many people had been using that strap previously and how much sweat is there. Bacteria!!!! Gross. And the bedsheets, he said, had green patches and not like the ones we saw when we visited the bunks - clean and white. I guess the bunks we visited were like the ’showflats’. For show only lah!

And then, wk will be coming back in another 3 more days! :) But after this weekend, I will not be seeing him for another 2 more weeks. Field camp :(

together with my dear

these 25mths have been great, being together with my dear. we do things together, things such as eating and drinking. haha… and the only thing we have left is to blog together. This is it.

even thought we had been together for 25 months le, everyday and every moment which each other feels very fresh as if I had only just proposed to her yesterday. we are always madly in love.

:)

the things we have in common is countless, and we think that we are made for each other, like how the edge of a puzzle piece fits perfectly with a corresponding one. since dear’s enlistment, we have been loving each other even more than before and i know that this person will be staying by my side, as my spouse, till our hair white white. but his hair will turn white first cos he always think too much. haha…

everytime when I get to book out from tekong I will be overwhelmed with joy, happy that I finally get to see my dear again after a difficult week. And when the time comes for me to book in, I’ll be filled with sadness, sometimes so overwhelming that tears would flow. Crying is not something guy should do, but in the foreseeable future I would expect my eyes to be leaking every sunday.

i love him. i love the way he cares for me and love me. i love it when he would look at my eyes and tell me that i am ****. this he should know. he would take care of me when i am ill, or when i stupidly clumsily falls down. his heart would ache when he sees that i am in pain. i love you dear! :)

my dear’s 2 yrs, i believe, will pass quicker than anyone else’s as i will be his supporter, and he can also look forward to meeting me everytime he books out. most people do not have this privilege. haha…

lalalalala…. <<<<<<<<<< dear’s favourite tune. haha… :)

another booking in again. A sad night for me, no doubt, especially considering that I flopped my SMU interview just now also.

but inside my mind, the countdown had already began. I am counting down to the next time I get to book out, and to see my beautiful girlfriend again, and to drown myself in the love, care and concern that she showers me with.

people say that it is easy for couples to break up when the guy enters NS. We say is is impossible for us to break up when I am serving NS.

3rd Week @ Tekong

My third week @ Tekong was a very short one, which is good, thanks to Good Friday. However, it was shiong too. Everyday there are 3 strenuous activities. Sian. But time flies very fast, and only 1 week of PTP and 9 weeks of BMT left. I can only look forward. Look forward to POP, and then ORD. After that, time to embrace my passion and interest full fledge with SMU SIS. There is no more turning back, and no more pesky Vice Principal of some lousy JC who shouldn’t really be called educators.

Next monday, receive rifle, then the week after next, field camp. Time sprint away from my life and never come back. I’m loving it.

While other people enjoy 3 days of holiday this weekend, I have to go back to camp tomorrow night. This is because I am damn suay to kena guard duty, and not because I did something wrong, but because I was chosen randomly.

But to spend time in there more fruitfully and meaningfully, I bought a spare PSP battery, and a 4GB MS for my PSP, which I loaded with tonnes of videos and photos of me and my girlfriend, tonnes of games, and even movies. Guard duty shall be fun for me on Sunday.

My biceps grown bigger because of the crazy amount of pumpings, which are dished out quite reasonably in my opinion, when compared to people from other company of platoons. Our sergeants are nice people, except for one sergeant on temporary attachment to BMTC School 1.

Stay tuned for my next book out.

PS: I had a fantastic day with my dear today:)
