There was once a fictional country named Jin. Jin has a very unique government that is very well versed in managing economical and political aspects of the country.
If anyone here is interesting in setting up a government on their own, this post provides some fantastic pointers.
Housing
House the people in high rise buildings at a government heavily subsided rate. A unit with the same number of rooms was sold at $20000 in 1970, and $200000 in 2000 while decreasing its size by an average of 5 metre square. Nice money.
The Worker’s Union
Instead of allowing private worker’s union which will no doubt organise protest for higher income, create a government linked union that runs a supermarket chain. Announce to the public that food is scarce, then tell them not to worry. At the same time offer fantastic discounts at the union’s supermarket chain.
Internal Security
Build a high security prison that has security more focus on preventing people from getting in than preventing people from getting out.
When a dangerous criminal escapes from a high security prison, alert the public only after the criminal has enough time to watch a Lord of the Ring movie. Then have the media concentrate on reporting how efficient the security department is, and praising the department as it is they who uncovered the criminal in the first place.
Jin is such a fine country. I don’t feel like blogging anymore.
