One of the officer from Pegasus coy told me, hydrating is about constant drinking of sufficient water. Not one time zam lots of water in.

In OETI, we only got one water parade in the morning. No specific amout of water to be drank, u just drink as much as u like. Sergeant allow us to go drink water and go toilet anytime we like during lessons.

I remb in tekong, i once drank until i vomitted on the spot. Sergeant gimme that black face summore for needing to clean my vomit.

So now, i put ribena, glucose, salt and all kinds of things in my water bottle. Water parade is then more tasty.

never heard of getting kidney problems because of excess drinking of water. some people just sprout nonsense. Learn some basic biology first!

If you understood the rationale behind water parade, and having seen what happens when there isn’t one, it might open your mind.

Having seen a number of my own platoonmates getting down with heatstroke during my BMT days because of their “chao keng” don’t drink during water parade is a clear enough indication that oversupply is better than undersupply.

I agree. She uses less of her brain, and speak some unfounded things, just to satisfy her emotions.

Water parade is not bad by itself, but it can be more regulated and done more thoughtfully. I’ve gone down with heat cramp during my field camp despite finishing my 1 litre of water bottle and about 2 litres from my water bag in the morning.

Having gone through the feeling of heat cramp once, I never want to experience it again. I now always ensure that I am properly hydrated, but not by drinking a huge amount at one go, but constant sipping of water. I was lucky that I sounded off just when my entire body start having pins and needles, and the medic rush to treat me just when my limps start cramping up, slowly creeping inwards to the center of my body. The medic later say that I was lucky for sounding off early, and my condition stabilized and I was able to join back the training after 3hours of rest.

Water parades, when done in improperly, do cause problems. A system google search show much.

Now I wonder why I was so dizzy and nausea during my route marches. Too much water? Or too few water?

m0G should also use more of his brain (if any) (or perhaps discover that there is a website called google.com). What you haven’t heard of, does not always don’t exist. Unless you are God or Google, of which you are obviously not.

Although I don’t totally agree with what my girlfriend wrote, but m0G scolding and calling a girl names without clear justifications just to satisfy your own miserable emotions? Inferiority complex? What kind of person are you? Show your name, coward.

No I’m not calling names by calling you a coward. Its a descriptive.

On a personal level, I still feel that water parading the night before a strenuous activity is rather pointless. The only noticeable effect was the smellier than usual toilet on the second morning, and my buddy and I waking each other up to go to the toilet in the night.

Hmm.. Quite a big commotion over here

    m0G:

Apologise for the rude intrusion. Though I didnt know wad the entire entry was abt, (since it was abruptly removed b4 I read it) I feel tt m0G’s actions r highly uncalled for. I dun c the nid of flaming others bcos of wad they wrote..

Since the stand-in blogger is the blogger’s gf, it’s quite natural tt his gf wd get so worried and uptight for the blogger. Though the article may seem over-exaggerating, it was juz an out of concern for the blogger’s welfare in army. It didnt seem as an attempt to satisfy her emotions (as u had put forward). U shd perhaps use more of yr brain juice to analyse and assess the situation to get a bigger and clearer pic. Resorting to insult others clearly dictates tt u r the one who use less of yr brain, compared to the blogger’s gf. An indication of the pot calling the kettle black?

An issue on water parade.. I do tt every single day, even after RO. I find it quite pointless to conduct any water parade after RO since we r not having any strenuous activities after it. Oh well, since its the orders by our sirs, we only haf to abide by it. The direct inconvenience tt the half bottle water wd cause is the late nite visits to the toilet every nite and having to call one’s buddy to accompany u for every visit.

How can 1 attain at least 7 hrs of slp if one makes frequent trips to the toilet during the nite. Surely, the water parade after RO defeats tt purpose.

Other den tt, I find water parades quite useful in hydrating oneself. But, the timing muz b correct.
